soooo not your mamas and papas, but yeah, i like the echos of their harmonies, the kicky zylophone vibe, the upbeat lyrics which seems to be true, no matter what one encounters in life. thanks for this. positive ions: *(* *)* *(* *)* *(*
i love to hate those lyrics - or maybe i hate to love them - i liked them better when they were throwing all their troubles on a burning pile - maybe it's my mood
yeah, this song was used as the soundtrack for a Kraft Foods commercial recently. they're mainstreaming it up hard, looks like. i miss the wrecking ball.
jesus, lol - i'd be exhaling elevator music too if I had endorsement deals like that, i'd have to - it's really good pop though, just doesn't have the edge it used to, and it probably never will again - i was just thinking about the beatles, they're brilliantly constructed pop, but there's still diversity and darkness in it, and not as much adherence to the ultra up-to-the-minute slickness of the sound of the day - or maybe it did sound like that at the time, and it's got a retro luster now, which compliments
